Following my previous post on the topic of comparison, here I take a brief look at the harmful effects of social networks that feed this very mindset.
It’s true that some Instagram, LinkedIn, or YouTube pages generate good income, but even those often suffer from a major gap — creativity. Sales, marketing, SEO, and branding are valuable, yet they may cover only twenty percent of the adventure. The real essence and appeal lie in innovation and meaningful contributions to people and humanity.
Most of what is offered on social media is entertainment (In a better word, Amusement) rather than truly innovative, useful products. Don’t waste your time there. If you find yourself overly consumed by these platforms, uninstall them altogether. If you can manage them wisely, still be cautious: the constant stream of content filled with vanity, comparison, and self-glorification can corrupt your mind.
And if you do earn a decent income from them, it’s better to steer your page in the right direction — consciously offering value, service, or product to your audience. People are already becoming aware of the destructive effects of empty content, and sooner or later, most will recognize it.
I want to take you deeper into society, into what truly makes people happy — back to a time when technology served humanity, not shackled it like chains around our hands, feet, and necks. So let’s commit ourselves: act well, live better, and improve lives instead of wasting people’s time and energy in vain.
